Our Team
Dedicated to Serving
We are a people who belong to Him and are set apart from the rest of the world. As we walk this path of faith, may we always remember that God loves us and has made us worthy of His love and grace. And by choosing to follow Him, we honor Him and bring glory to His name.

She provides client care during the childbearing year for normal, low-risk pregnancy and childbirth in a homebirth setting. She was certified with DONA international in 2016. Melissa studied and credentialed as a certified lactation counselor through The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice to better support her client's breastfeeding goals in 2017. Having attained certification as a Lamaze-certified childbirth educator, Melissa began teaching formal childbirth classes in 2018. Melissa studied midwifery through self-study courses, in apprenticeship training with senior midwives, and formally at The Midwives College of Utah. Melissa maintains certification in neonatal resuscitation protocol (NRP) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Melissa will be accompanied at births by a birth assistant or a second midwife. Birth assistants and midwives are certified in neonatal resuscitation protocol (NRP) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Flossie Barfield, Assistant
I am a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. I am a life long servant of Jesus and work to honor Him in all that I do. I have supported friends and family through labor and birth for 31 years, it is there that I found a passion for helping families through this journey into parenting. Supporting young women has long been a gift of mine as I raised my two daughters and became a second mama to many of their friends. I am happy to join Mother Me as a birth assistant.

Carlee Morrison, Assistant
I am a wife, mother and registered nurse. I found a love for nursing while being a practicum student on a labor and delivery floor. After having my first son, I have been challenged and inspired to look at birth through a new lens. I find it a joy to advocate for, care for, and support families. To experience and take part in bringing a new life into the world is incredible to me. I am excited and honored to be a part of the Mother Me team as a birth assistant.-
